In 1989-90 the Clinton Co. Historical Commission issued Pioneer Certificates as a part of the county’s sesquicentennial celebration.  That project was terminated.

In 2004 the Genealogists of the Clinton Co. Historical Society initiated another certification project to honor people for their connection to early residents of the county.  See a description and certificate application form elsewhere on this webpage for descendants of Early Settlers and Early Families. 

The applications, including documentation, for certificates issued to date in both programs are on file at the archives where they can be used by other researchers.  Following is the list of those whose descendants have been recognized:
