Many variations of spelling and data appear in the newspaper accounts for the same person.   Researchers should view civic records for verification and/or interpretation.

 

Newspaper abbreviations:

CI = Clinton Independent

CCRN = Clinton County Republican News

CR = Clinton Republican

SJN = Saint Johns News

WSC = Westphalia School Census 1908-1913*

 

 

*School census for the village of Westphalia contains some births after 1900

 

This is a work in progress with additional births added as newspapers are abstracted.  Currently this database contains 4,536 births.
