Succumbs Tuesday
Miss Edna M. Love, 76,
Clinton County clerk for 18 years, died Tuesday morning at Clinton
Memorial Hospital. She had been in poor health for the past seven
years.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the
Osgood Funeral Home, Rev. Emeral Price officiating. Burial will
be in the Bray Cemetery.
Miss Love retired from county office in 1945 after serving
as county clerk for 18 years and deputy clerk of the Clinton County
draft board.
Born Aug 12, 1880, the daughter of John and Mary Gier
Love, she attended rural schools in Bengal township and Ferris
Institute in Big Rapids. She taught in country schools for many
years.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church of St.
Johns.
Surviving are an uncle, Frank Love of Oklahoma City,
Okla., and several nieces and nephews.
